Here are the '88 vintage Briks perfectly fitting comfortably in a contemporary decor. The spacious room makes the Briks look even smaller.
Chris' pair sports 4mm plugs and external crossover ( no Ku-Stone ) powered by all current Linn amplifcations. He also fitted Linn's Hiquphon tweeters.
His Aktive Slimline has been rebuilt by Linn with switchmode added and he runs Linn Silver cables throughout the system.
He also runs a top of the spec Linned Sondek and just released Radikal/Urika upgrade is imminent.
Chris comments:"...I've owned these Briks for 10 years. I still have the passive crossovers and from time-to-time have gone back to them when working on upgrades to the active system--passive is still really good if you have good power amps, preferably three!...The Aktiv is like gold dust (I had mine rebuilt by Linn with the Slimline switchmode added, must be around 3 years ago, now). Was a big hassle since I think mine was the last done before the LK series went off support. I had to battle with Linn to sort out some teething problems with the upgrade... Another story, another time. "
